Building Trust: How The Rounds Prioritized Building a Safe Space for Healthcare Professionals to Connect

Doctors face a unique challenge of keeping up with constantly advancing  medical knowledge while also instilling confidence in their patients and community. Family doctors, in particular, are expected to know about every condition and treatment options and when they have questions, they cannot just openly ask online or find a colleague to help. The Rounds was created with this challenge in mind, the goal was to create a safe space where healthcare providers can expand their network outside of their geographical area, learn from each other and get the support they need.

Ensuring Member Verification
 Member Verification

Unlike typical social platforms that focus on growing their numbers, we carefully verify every healthcare provider who joins The Rounds. Our team reviews each application and confirms medical credentials before granting membership. Membership is complimentary for doctors, and they get access to discussions and content specific to their medical specialty. This verification process ensures that our community consists of only verified, licensed healthcare providers, creating the foundation for meaningful professional interactions.

Enabling Engaged Learning

Learning

Healthcare providers face a difficult balance: they must keep up with medical advancements while delivering high-quality patient care.  Demanding schedules make it hard for healthcare providers to attend in-person events, limiting their chances to learn from experts and connect with other specialists. Instead, they must rely on online learning that fits around their packed workdays.

This creates barriers to learning and slows down the path to information for physicians. That is why we have designed our platform to prioritize accessible educational content, peer connection and knowledge sharing.

Maintaining Independence and Transparency
 Transparency

While educational content sponsored by pharmaceutical companies has its place in medical education, we believe physicians should engage with it on their own terms. We maintain strict boundaries by not allowing pharmaceutical companies direct platform access and carefully screen all educational content for relevance and value. To ensure transparency while protecting privacy, we never share our members' personal data with sponsors and clearly disclose both event sponsorship and any conflicts of interest among thought leaders.

Learning On Your Schedule

With on-demand content, community forums and direct messaging, our platform enables physicians to engage with peers and thought leaders on their own schedule and contribute however they like. The Rounds offers different formats of learning programs that allow members to learn at their convenience, whether they have five minutes between patients or an hour after work, they can check in with colleagues, ask questions, and stay up to date—all while managing their busy practices.

Looking Forward

At The Rounds, we are committed to continuously evolving our platform, so physicians have a secure place where they can learn and grow professionally on their own terms. We understand the importance of a trusted space where "I don't know" can be the beginning of a valuable learning journey and knowledge sharing can cross traditional geographic and specialty boundaries. Hopefully resulting in efficient knowledge sharing and improved patient care.
